I really like the game but i think there are just not enough levels. So... why dont make a level editor and let make the players their one maps? Then the maps could be collected and added to the game (if they are good ).

So... what do you think of it?

I was going to release the level editor with the game, but it is pretty unprofessional and glitchy (but functional enough to make what you see, and it doesn't crash) and it also requires PyXML which isn't standard I believe.

If the request is high enough, I will release the map editor and instructions as a separate package, and perhaps someone more skillful than me can make a better map editor

I really think there are way too less levels. And if the editor would be released other people (not only you) could make levels, too. And may some people would like to creating maps and sure would like to have them into the (official) game(content)? I would surely do it

That would be good, yes, but the next part of the story after Snodom happens in Kaekra (desert) and I haven't made those tiles yet =P

It may be possible to have a side-quest thing on the island of Hechnem (lower right) where all the player-made maps are!

You could make the desert tiles and release a map editor only for those ones or you could make a bonus content area made mainly by players that would be cool.

I plan to make Kaekra like the other worlds:

* New sub-world overview map
* New level backgrounds/parallax bg/fg
* New tileset
* New monsters
* Tiny additions to the engine

I want to make it as special and as different as all the other worlds so far, but the reason I can't just 'make the desert tiles' is because honestly it takes a long time to create a good tileset that fits together and looks nice without actually making a pilot level with it to try it out first.

The world after Kaekra will be Gorthen's Woods, a dark, scary woods where not much light gets through the trees.. It'll kinda be a creepy version of Sempridge

Well make a level editor for a bonus area then. Possibly have a new boss which is a henchman of Radkelu, like a dragon or snowman.

I am not sure I'd be happy with a level editor. I am not such an advanced user after all, but I'd certainly be happy with new levels and new "regions"

I'd really love to just sit in a hyperbolic time chamber and make a few more worlds for Ardentryst. I really would! But I just don't have the time to right now =((
